The programme explored how trained volunteer teachers and digital classrooms can strengthen learning opportunities in rural schools where teacher availability and subject support are limited.
How it worked
Children in Classes 6 to 8 joined interactive vernacular-medium sessions delivered remotely by volunteer teachers. The sessions followed the state curriculum and focused on English, Mathematics and Science.
Pilot locations
The model was piloted in four primary schools in Managundi, Baad, Nigadi and Benakatti villages in Dharwad block. The programme helped students engage with subjects that were often perceived as difficult and introduced them to technology-enabled learning.
